Overview

Climate change may result in physical and transition risks that could affect the safety and soundness of individual banking institutions and have broader financial stability implications for the banking system. It is at the forefront of thinking in the banking industry as firms reposition themselves to take account of changing customer and regulatory expectations.

To address climate-related financial risks within the banking sector, the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) published their principles for the effective management of climate related risks in June 2022.  All firms need to take account of these new requirements and ensure that they include the key components within their risk management and governance systems and processes.  The implementation of these requirements sets a number of challenges which all market participants will need to face.

This timely course looks at each of the principles and considers the actions that a bank will need to take in the light of these requirements to achieve compliance.

Who Should Attend

This course is designed for all parties involved directly or indirectly with the banking industry.
