The nature of the investment market is changing. Both institutional and retail investors are now taking greater notice of ethical investment in all its forms and more market participants are entering the field. New guidance has been provided by the European Banking Authority (EBA) which applies to both banks and investment firms. Euronext has also developed am ESG guide for companies. This course addresses these new requirements and considers their impact both on an organisation and on the general goals of ESG whilst also considering market impacts.
This course looks at ESG investment from a corporate, lending and investment perspective, considering the principles that are applied and the metrics that will drive section. It addresses the reporting requirements and considers the actions that a firm needs to take to comply with these demanding requirements.
It also considers the nature of the market and what the various participants are saying and doing. In the post COVID environment all areas of investment are impacted and ESG is no different. We shall consider the issues relating to the implications of the crisis on ESG investment and the problems of the assessment of companies to future in the light of the lack of relevant data.
